There are various pantry designs you can find out there. Each of them has its own unique characteristics, thus making them suitable for certain circumstances, such as the one with pantry designs for small kitchens. Basically, pantries are available in three configurations: walk-in, pull-out, and reach-in. We will briefly explain one by one below.
The reach-in pantry designs are known to be the most convenient, while the pull-out designs are the least one. On the other hand, a walk-in kitchen pantry is a better choice for a small kitchen with no spare wall space. Even so, a walk-in pantry is usually removed from the core of kitchen activity, so it is best to serve as a second pantry that is often remote from the main kitchen zones.
In a kitchen, it’s not unusual to have more than one cupboard—two to three pantries are still considered common. Again and again, this will depend on your needs and lifestyle. If you have a large family or often cook everything from scratch, you will always need a pantry within the cooking area that holds the items essentials for cooking, while having another one to store the large quantities and bulk supplies as the more remote pantry designs.
Pantry designs are basically available in three options: pull-out, reach-in, and walk-in. Each of them is unique and your choice will depend on various factors.
